This class features a cutting-edge approach to understanding pelvic floor health by showing how it is connected to and participates in vital functions such as breathing and posture. Rather than understanding the pelvic floor in a modular (and therefore isolated) way, we place the pelvis inside large myofascial lines and functional movement patterns.

To support our anatomical understanding with yogic perspectives, we will also explore the bandhas and mudras originating in the pelvic floor, their purpose, and their benefits.

A short practice will be offered for a felt experience of developing awareness of the pelvic floor so that the body can naturally correct either too tight or too loose musculature.
